I have been attending Anne’s Pilates classes continuously since 2013, initially when they were held in person and subsequently during/after Covid via Zoom when I also joined her Somatics class as well.  Anne is a wonderful teacher with an extremely loyal following!  She has the knack of putting everyone at their ease and teaching her classes in a way that suits all levels of experience without making anyone feel uncomfortable if they feel the level might be too advanced for them.  She explains everything really clearly and as a visually impaired person I find this invaluable as I am easily able to follow all her instructions without necessarily being able to see her very clearly.  She is always careful to watch and point out any errors, without singling anyone out!  I have been through some difficult times over the past few years and I can honestly say that Anne’s classes are the one thing that kept me going, both physically and mentally.  They are so enjoyable and you always feel really great afterwards!  Shelagh M

I have started Pilates classes many years ago. Recently I moved, with age, to gentle Pilates with Anne and will continue for as long as I can. After an hour of the class I feel energetic, relaxed and mobile. My joints have a new lease of life, like new. What I most admire about Anne’s sessions is the variety. Never a class is the same as the other. Each session Anne targets a special area in the body. She works us out gently to release the trapped and the stiff joints and muscles in that area in addition to working out the whole body from head to toes. 

During the hour, which passes very quickly, I get in touch with my body noting the released parts and the stiff parts which helps me addressing and correcting in my daily movements and activities.

The classes are always well thought through and the beginnings and endings ensure that your body always feels better after a class. I have been attending Ann’s classes for five years, and online since the Covid pandemic.  I have found that participating in classes from home more convenient and far more personalised.   Her instruction is clear and easy to follow, with alternatives given for exercises, depending on one’s level or how your body feels that day ( I found this particularly helpful following a beast surgery procedure). Ann is warm, knowledgeable and professional and I highly recommend you book a class and experience this for yourself! Cathie

Anne's Pilates classes are always thoughtfully designed, varied and effective.

I have been doing them for over 5 years now and my mobility and core strength are hugely improved. I rarely have any back pain these days and feel fit and agile.

I joined Anne’s classes originally at my local leisure centre.  When the pandemic kicked in we resorted to online classes.  She is an excellent teacher and always makes every session stimulating.  I particularly enjoy our Wednesday Somatic session which has vastly improved my posture.  Highly recommend her classes. I've been taking Anne's pilates' classes for over 5 years - they're a fantastic way to stretch all your muscles and as well as your core.  They're really inclusive too as Anne gives 2 or 3 options for each exercise so everyone can get the most suitable work out for their own body.  I've tried many different teachers and Anne is the best by far. Sim Wignall

I never want to do Pilates with anyone but Anne. It's not just that she's so skilled and knowledgable, or that the class is never repetitive or same-y, but she teaches with such warmth, fun, openness and generosity. She's attuned to everyone in her class and manages to gear each section of each class towards the varying needs of those attending.
